Accountancy firm lines up extension. Coventry accountancy firm McCranor Kirby Smale, based at Binley Road, has made a six-figure investment to expand it's headquarters by a third.
Director Mike Wilson said the merger has proved a success.
"Active played a major role in the seamless transfer between our old & new expanded premises"
The firm, formed in 2002 by the merger of two long-established city practices, has taken on an adjacent property to use as further office space.
Director Mike Wilson said the merger has proved a success.
"It has been a very seamless coming together and as a result the business is growing at a very healthy rate. We now employ over 40 staff and that number could well increase in the coming months."
McCranor's investment has also had a spin-off for Active Communications, which has installed a new telephone system and fitted more than three miles of cabling.
Active Communications provided McCranors with a Telephone System solution for their enlarged premises as part of the merger between McCranors & Kirby Smale accountants practices.
Active had previously provided solutions to both businesses as part of its network cabling relationship with Harry Shaw Business Computers, this included the data network at Kirby Smales' Offices that we continue to support with the new clients that have moved into their old premises.
Active liased with Mike Wilson of McCranors & Richard Perry of Kirby Smale in project managing the transfer & upgrade of each clients services with BT. This involved upgrading McCranors ISDN 2 Dass Link to ISDN 30e, (for Q-Sig compliance), arranging for a new DDI range & the transferring of Kirby Smales' services on to the new Siemens Hipath 3550 Telephone System. We also provided the merged business with a least cost routing solution.
Active installed a new voice link backbone cabling system that is Gigabit compatible, provided new server cabinets, a switch, & Siemens Hi Path digital telephone system, 50 handsets & reception console.
